Experience and adventure centre Aleksin Jotos organizes activities according to the wishes of the customer. Below you will find a few examples of the activities.

Through Aleksin Jotos you also have the possibility to experience guided hiking trips to the fells, canoe trips on the rivers Ounasjoki and Kapsajoki, snowshoe trips as well as fishing and hunting treks.

You will have a reindeer safari to see Santa. Santa lives in the middle of the forest in a beautiful little cabin. Your way there is lighted with candles. You will allso be able to visit an elfs’ factory and make some finnish craft by yourself.

Come to ice fishing to the fishy lake near Köngäs, Perch rich lake gives you the opportunity to admire many fells (Levi, Kätkä, Pallas..., at the same time. You can enjoy the ice fishing by yourself or with a competent guide.

Come to learn how to process and sculpt snow in Loma-Paksu's beautiful courtyard. You can come for a couple of hours to try and make your own sculpture with a competent guide or build your own igloo and even spend a night in there. You will learn the basics of snow building with different instruments and enjoy coffee in the hut after that.

Additional details: Snow acts different ways depending on the weather. We make snow buildings depending on the situation, using snow blocks or shaping them ourself.

Olympics test skillsthat you need in wilderness of Lapland, between making fire to drive a snowmobile. Refreshing and quality package lifts up team spirit and fills also demanding taste. Along with competition we enjoy the beautiful old Lappish yard, fells and lake nearby. Competition will take place with other groups and their instant vicinity. Time and skills are judged, but you can get more points by being creative, having team spirit etc...

At the end the judges decreace the points and then comes the sharing of the prices.

In the Lappish Baptism you will be welcomed to Lapland and given a playful ”permit” to move about the lands of Lapland.

An indulgence moment in outside jacuzzi in Loma-Paksu cosy yard near the fells and the lake. The sauna fits 10 persons and the jacuzzi 5 persons at the same time. When others enjoy the jacuzzi one part of the group can eat snacks while waiting. You can order snacks from the reservation restaurant. You can also take the whole group and come to eat to the restaurant and continue your nice evening in there!

”Experience pedagogic” fire walking is a powerful exercise that uses mental images therapeutically. Through fire walking you can have new dimensions in your life. It’s advisable to go into the exercise with a serious intent and to act according to the guidance given by the instructor. The purpose of the day is to refresh oneself, to lift the group spirit up, and to bring different kinds of strengths of the people to the fore.

The activity starts with an introduction and by getting to know one another. Then the instructor tells you what fire walking is and what it is not. The instructor tells you how the programme of the evening unfolds and then we begin. The activity is suitable for a person with a normal basic condition.

(Jotos = battle of strength) It's not so much about compatition then it is about getting through together as group. Exercises are done in different checkpoints. Operating time about 20 minutes / point. Activities are full of exercise, problem solving, having fun etc. About 2 hours all together.

The cause is to get free from the weekdays with good company, calm your mind, relax your body and enjoy the beauty of the nature. This calming package for leisure person f.ex slow trek with snowshoes, skis or kick-sledge, hiking or canoeing. En route we will also do experience exercises which confirm the group and the individual with their decisions. We get to see sunset or be charmed by the candels. At the end of the day we will grill pancakes and/or sausages in the hut and tell stories.

Paintball is a modern game with semi-automatic paintball weaponry. The guided game on speedy tracks is bound lift your pulse and adrenaline levels to their peaks. You shouldn’t rush to the game headlong because well planned tactics and progression bring you already halfway towards the victory! During the activity there are breaks for taking care of the weapons and of the players. This is also a time when you can refine your tactics and techniques. After the game, you can drink coffee and roast some sausages in an atmospheric teepee. That’s also the place to once again talk through the tightest and most intensive situations of the game as well as the finest hits!

With a competent guide to the cloudberry moras or picking up blueberry`s or mushrooms. Guidance and tips to pickle and drying. On the way we drink coffee. Finally we enjoy soup for lunch, go to sauna and admire the beautiful lakes and fells in outside jacuzzi.

With a competent guide you get to know what the nature gives us and learn how to cook in the wild nature. First we go to fish some perches at the lake nearby. After that we make mushroom - vegetable soup, roast the perch, grass sauce, put the potatoes and a cup of berries in the fire.

Weddings, confirmation party, family meetings, birthdays… Loma-Paksu yard is very beautiful with lake and fells nearby. We have a hut for 50 people and reservation restaurant for 140 people. We also have sauna and outdoor Jacuzzi, a romantic shed (where you can spend f.ex your wedding nigh)t. Our audio equipment are build to be heard from outside and inside from the restaurant. Buildings are good mix of very traditional Lapland with fresh breathe of present time.

Come to Loma-Paksu and spend an unforgettable kid's party! Now parents can take it easy. We make decorations with themes, food and cake. Proficient staff also takes care of program (outside or inside) and the music.

A long, long time ago a witch called Torajainen roamed here in the lands of Paksu. The witch was great and powerful – so excellent in fact, that her magnificence went to her head. Ukko the Supreme God thought that this boastfulness wasn’t appropriate for her, and so once when the witch Torajainen was drumming away on the hill Munakukkula Ukko took away the figures from the drum of the witch and scattered them around the marshes. Well, the witch of course became impossible without her figures. Even today she wanders around in the dark and moans for her lost powers. You can help her get her figures back if you want to, but it requires co-operation, temper, some good humour. Are you up to it?

After the introduction and a warm-up we jump straight into action. There will be 4 group exercises which include, for instance, problem solving, drama, physical exercise, and contemplation. The group moves tightly together the whole time. There will be lots of fun together while the exciting story carries you forward.
